Note: I am not at all a professional larper (yet) and a lot of the time I will connect things to Z-World automatically so often times I must say read the rules of your larp and ask people from that larp for help, this blog is mostly for people who are interested in Z-World. Thank You (please consult your larps rules before me, sorry for saying it again I'm just trying to hammer it in.)

Latex weapons are a substitute for boffer weapons they are far more expensive ($50--$250. $50 being a low quality one). If you are thinking about using a latex weapon check your larps rules to see how they stand on latex weapons, Z-World allows latex weapons but another larp on the same site Nero does not. If you can't find anything on the subject bring your latex weapon and a boffer.

Calimacil is a high end larp weapons and armor company based out of Quebec, Canada they make probably some of the best larp weapons available. Their weapons are actually not made of latex for you latex allergic people and once a year at a random time like all their products on amazon become $20 (They normally retail for upwards of $60 at the cheapest) . I own one of these swords and can verify it's quality.

Other retailers are available but I don't know much about them. But if you are looking to get a latex weapon all in all I can highly suggest Calimacil as a good source of high quality weaponry but again check the rules first.

Update Jan 13th, 2016: It is possible to build latex weapons but because I don't want to type alot more stuff here I will link to an in depth process done by Quiche Commandos:
